5K Safari Fun Run

Have we got a wild and wonderful event coming up for you! Join us for a one-of-a-kind family-friendly run/walk through the NOGAWILD Safari park. You will get to run/walk by 100s of animals, such as: capybara, honey badgers, antelope, penguins, camel, zebra, and more!

Lace up your sneakers and get ready for a wild time! Join us at NOGAWILD for a 5k run/walk unlike anything else in town, taking you all around our Safari Park. As you make your way along the course, you'll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the animal kingdom, from capybaras and Scottish Highland cows to camels and zebras plus many other animals that call our park home.
Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or a casual walker looking for a fun morning outdoors, this race is designed with everyone in mind, with multiple pace waves to choose from at registration.
Special Meet & Greet: Say hello to our Scottish Highland cows! Our Scottish Highland cows will be on lead for a meet-and-greet, so you can stop, snap a photo, and say hi. And keep an eye out for our resident capybaras too, who are always happy to cheer you on!

Safari Run Wave Options

8:30am NOGAWILD Safari Run/Walk 5k- About 3 total miles through the Safari Park. This course includes gravel, asphalt, mulch, uneven terrain, trail creeks, and woods, with 2 small water crossings (pavers/boards provided, or you can jump them if you'd like a challenge). Prefer to skip the woods? You can add another loop around Safari Park instead. Children under 4 are free with a participating adult.

9:00am Kids/Family Fun Run (1 mile) - Take 1 to 2 laps around the Safari Park for a wild and family-friendly adventure!

There will also be a Virtual Option for those who cannot join us in person but would still like to exercise and help support the animals!
More about the Safari Run course

The Safari Run course goes through the Safari Park and surrounding woods.

This is an all-terrain course, meaning there is gravel and uneven terrain, including trail creeks and woods.

The woods can be bypassed if you prefer. You may add another loop around the Safari Park instead.

There will be 2 small water crossings. Pavers/boards will be in place to help you cross, but they can also be jumped over.

The total course is about 3 miles if you choose the 5k wave and includes 2 loops through Safari Park, so you'll get to see lots of animals!

There is one water station, which you'll pass around mile 1 and mile 2.
